Laura believes as a therapist it is important to provide a safe and welcoming environment to meet clients where they are at and support their process. She understands therapy can be an extremely vulnerable and empowering experience. She wants to encourage and foster healthy relationships for the client's self, partners, and family.

Laura is from San, Antonio, TX and is a proud military spouse. Laura obtained her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University in 2016 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2019. Laura is dual licensed in Virginia and Colorado. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist, Gottman Marital Therapy Level 1 Certified, and is Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) trained. 

 

She began her career as a victim advocate for the Rape Crisis Center of San Antonio, TX. For the past 12 years, she worked as a school counselor for PK4 to 8th grade in Texas and specialized in treating individuals impacted by domestic violence while in Colorado from 2017 to 2022.

 

She believes in a systemic approach to therapy. Currently, she is pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification and Internal Family Systems Level 1. She specializes in EMDR therapy, couples and family therapy, and trauma focused treatment. Laura is extremely passionate in serving the military community, veterans, and families. ​
